From Magnasco to De Conciliis, Paintings on Water

The exhibition, curated by Natalia Demina of St. Petersburg's Hermitage and organized by GardaMusei, is part of the third edition of the Acquedotte Festival 2017, culture flows from the lake to the river, and fits perfectly with the theme of the kermesse. The exhibition Paintings on the Water includes the works of some Italian painters of the nineteenth century and several contemporary artists.
The aim is to present some authors who have used water to describe andscapes, tell stories and recount human activities. Water is the natural element indispensable for the origins of life; it is near water that the first human settlements were concentrated.
