Gallerie d'Italia & Museo Poldi Pezzoli, Romanticism

Gallerie d'Italia & Museo Poldi Pezzoli, Milan
Romanticism will be open to the public from October 26, 2018 to March 17, 2019. It will be the first exhibition dedicated to the contribution that Italy gave to the movement that changed, during the first half of the nineteenth century, the sensitivity and imagination of the Western world. These 200 works will explain the role that Italy, and in particular Milan, had in the Romantic movement that took place between Germany, the Austrian Empire, France and England, during the period that begins with the Congress of Vienna in 1815 and ends in 1848 with the revolutions that shook Europe.
