From Realism to Symbolism, Noè Bordignon

Museo Casa Giorgione, Castelfranco Veneto / Villa Marini Rubelli, San Zenone degli Ezzelini
Castelfranco Veneto, birthplace to Noè Bordignon, and San Zenone degli Ezzelini, the much-beloved place where the artist retired and lived the last years of his life, are the promoters of a long due recognition – after 100 years from the artist's death – with a monographic exhibit which gathers over 60 works. The exhibition follows a chronological and thematic order and is held in two premises, at the Museo Casa Giorgione and in Villa Marini Rubelli.
The show, curated by two of the greatest experts of the field – Fernando Mazzocca and Elena Catra – aims to valorise this unique narrator of the everyday life of the Venetian territory of the time together with his contemporaries such as Ciardi, Zandomeneghi, and Milesi whose works too will be exhibited. Thanks to new research and studies, a catalogue will be published which will present for the first time the full list of paintings and frescos executed by the artist.
