Giacomo Balla, The idea arises

Già di collezione Enzo Biagi, questa opera è la rappresentazione più naturale di molteplici formalizzazioni stilistiche.

In 1913 Giacomo Balla began experimenting with trend lines in relation to studies dedicated to the flight of swallows, with the sole aim of representing a physical trajectory of movement.

These same curved lines, intertwined in a modular and sinuous grid, became, especially in The idea arises of 1920, a rhythmic representation of the natural, universal vital forces that generate the deep movement of the universe, its life-giving lymph, the wave generating force from which everything is formed. Thanks to these experiments, Giacomo Balla transformed this idea into a dawn of thoughts.

This oil on board painting pulsates with a dynamism of mixed forms that create a unique language.
