The Collection of Giacomo and Ida Jucker, The Enchantment of the Macchiaioli

Poldi Pezzoli Museum, Milan
From November 13, 2015 to February 29, 2016, the house museum in Via Manzoni presents reunited, after more than forty years, the works of the collection of Giacomo and Ida Jucker in the exhibition The Enchantment of the Macchiaioli in the collection of Giacomo and Ida Jucker.
Annalisa Zanni, Director of the Museum, declares: "Poldi Pezzoli is undoubtedly the most appropriate venue for this refined exhibition, because of the ideal bridge that unites Gian Giacomo Poldi Pezzoli, founder of the museum, and Giacomo Jucker, a worthy heir to the great tradition of Lombard collecting." The name of Giacomo Jucker (1883-1966) and that of his wife Ida Saibene (1890-1963) are linked to the collection of works of art from the second half of the 19th century in Italy, in particular the Macchiaioli.
